Framestore Creates Exec Commercials Role

FRAMESTORE CREATES EXEC COMMERCIALS ROLE FOR AVATAR VFX PRODUCER, TIM KEENE

Framestore has created a new high profile role of 'Executive Producer, Commercials' that will be filled by Avatar and Sherlock Holmes executive VFX producer, Tim Keene, from mid-March 2010.

The new role has been developed as a way for Framestore's commercials clients to benefit from Tim's extensive VFX experience, especially the stereographic 3D expertise he gleaned from recently exec producing stereoscopic VFX for Avatar.

Tim has been with Framestore since 1997 where he started as longform VFX co-ordinator on Merlin. After progressing to line producer on blockbusting series like Dinotopia, Tim officially moved into features in 2002 to work as VFX producer on, amongst others, Die Another Day, Love Actually, Mamma Mia and Quantum of Solace.

Tim also brings knowledge of virtual grading – a popular commercials production preference – from his DI production on Enduring Love and Love Actually; the latter being Framestore's first ever HD digital film delivery. His most recent credits include the VES-winning Sherlock Holmes and the Oscar-winning Avatar.

Helen Stanley, Framestore's Managing Director, Commercials, said: "Tim's overall knowledge of the VFX process is staggering. We’re increasingly applying Nuke's feature film VFX pipeline to commercials, as well at working more at 2K, grading virtually and taking on stereographic 3D commercials. So Tim's input and knowledge will greatly benefit our commercials clients."
